Sato-imo Gohan (Rice cooked with Taro)

Sato-imo is cooked well into having a little thick texture. So you will be satisfied with a smaller amount of rice than usual.

Let’s cook Sato-imo Gohan
Ingredient Rice 2 cups
Sato-imo (Taro) 200g
Kelp 1g
Sake(Rice wine) 50ml
Salt a pinch

How to make
1. Peel the skin of Sato-imo, cut into 1 cm cubes and leave them in the water
for a while.
2. Wash rice and set in a rice cooker with water to the line 2.
3. Add Sato-imo with other ingredients such as kelp, sake and salt) and stir
it lightly.
4. Switch on the rice cooker.
*If you have children, you can add 50ml water instead of 50ml sake.
